Citrus Trifoliata
Citrus Trifoliata
Citrus trifoliata, or trifoliate orange, is a hardy citrus known for thriving in heavy soils and replanting sites due to its shallow root system and strong fibrous roots. This adaptability makes it suitable for high-density planting and producing quality fruit.
While it can display incompatibility symptoms when grafted with certain mandarins, it is resilient against diseases like Phytophthora and citrus nematode. However, it does not perform well in highly acidic or alkaline soils and struggles in sandy soils without proper irrigation management. Therefore, attention to soil conditions and irrigation is essential for optimal growth and yield.
