Ryan navel
Ryan Navel
The overall quality of this variety can be described as inferior to the new varieties that are also early maturing such as the Navelina and the Newhall.
Internally, the flesh matures before the peel has reached its full colour and the texture is firm and stringy.
This tree produces a large sized fruit which is flattened with deep furrows radiating from the button.
The fruits peel has a fine texture colouring is yellow and changes to a yellow/orange later in the season.
The trees display high yields mainly due to the large size of the fruit. The young trees are vigorous and moderately thorny.
