INGREDIENTS:

60ml tequila blanco

30ml triple sec

30ml fresh lime juice

15ml simple syrup

2-3 slices of jalapeno

Ice
-
Flaky salt

Lime wedges for garnish
METHOD:

Begin by preparing the glass. Rim the glass with a lime wedge, then dip it in salt to salt the rim.

In a cocktail shaker, muddle the slices of jalapeno to release the flavour. Be sure to remove the seeds if you prefer a milder heat (or leave in for a spicier marg!).

Add the tequila, triple sec, fresh lime juice, and simple syrup to the shaker.

Fill the shaker with ice and shake the mixture vigorously for about 15-20 seconds.

Strain the margarita into the prepared glass filled with ice.

Garnish with a lime wedge and a slice of jalapeno for an extra kick.
Makes 1 margarita.
