It has shown no incompatibility with Eureka and supports healthy growth for scions. Notably, it enhances yields, particularly for Navelina and Valencia varieties, with superior fruit quality for Valencia.

Zao Yang is highly resistant to diseases such as Citrus Tristeza Virus and Phytophthora and root rot, ensuring tree health. It also excludes sodium and flowers later than other rootstocks, offering additional benefits in sodium-prone climates. For optimal results, it’s recommended for scions like Valencia and Late Lane Navel.
