Spicy Lime and Jalepeno Margarita

INGREDIENTS:

  • 60ml tequila blanco

  • 30ml triple sec

  • 30ml fresh lime juice

  • 15ml simple syrup

  • 2-3 slices of jalapeno

  • Ice

  • Flaky salt

  • Lime wedges for garnish

METHOD:

  1. Begin by preparing the glass. Rim the glass with a lime wedge, then dip it in salt to salt the rim.

  2. In a cocktail shaker, muddle the slices of jalapeno to release the flavour. Be sure to remove the seeds if you prefer a milder heat (or leave in for a spicier marg!).

  3. Add the tequila, triple sec, fresh lime juice, and simple syrup to the shaker.

  4. Fill the shaker with ice and shake the mixture vigorously for about 15-20 seconds.

  5. Strain the margarita into the prepared glass filled with ice.

  6. Garnish with a lime wedge and a slice of jalapeno for an extra kick.

Makes 1 margarita.
